At Shri Stays, cancellation terms may vary depending on the booking source, selected rate plan, travel dates, group size, seasonal demand, special offers, or promotional packages. By confirming a reservation, the guest agrees to the cancellation terms applicable at the time of booking.
2. Direct Bookings (Website / Phone / WhatsApp / Email)
For reservations made directly with Shri Stays through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or email:
- Free cancellation may be offered up to a specified time before check-in, as communicated at the time of booking confirmation.
- Cancellations made after the applicable free cancellation window may attract partial or full retention charges.
- In case of no-show, early departure, unused nights, or last-minute cancellation, the booking amount may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on the confirmed rate plan.
- Refund timelines, where applicable, typically take 5–10 working days and may vary depending on payment gateway, banking channels, settlement cycles, or OTA platform processing.
3. OTA Bookings (Booking.com, Airbnb, Agoda, Goibibo, MakeMyTrip, and other travel platforms)
If your reservation is made through any Online Travel Agency (OTA) or third-party booking platform, the cancellation, modification, refund, and no-show terms displayed on that platform at the time of booking shall prevail.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Booking.com
- Airbnb
- Agoda
- Goibibo
- MakeMyTrip
- Any other online travel marketplace, reseller, affiliate, or channel partner
Important:
- OTA cancellation policies may differ from the policy shown on the Shri Stays website.
- The guest must review and accept the cancellation terms shown on the respective OTA before confirming the reservation.
- Refunds, if any, for OTA bookings are processed as per the respective platform's policies, timelines, and payment systems.
- Shri Stays is not responsible for delays, deductions, service fees, platform commissions, wallet credits, coupon adjustments, or refund timelines controlled by the OTA.
- In case of any dispute regarding OTA cancellation or refund, the guest should first raise the matter through the OTA's support or resolution process.
4. Modifications / Date Changes
- Changes to check-in/check-out dates, guest count, or room type are subject to availability and rate differences.
- Modification requests may be treated as cancellation + rebooking depending on the rate plan or OTA rules.
- Promotional, discounted, non-refundable, or restricted inventory bookings may not be eligible for changes.
5. Peak Dates / Long Weekends / Festivals / Group Reservations
For high-demand periods such as weekends, long weekends, public holidays, festive dates, special events, or group bookings:
- Stricter cancellation terms may apply
- Higher advance payment may be required
- Partial or full advance may be non-refundable
- Date changes may be restricted
The exact applicable terms will be communicated at the time of booking confirmation or reflected on the OTA rate plan.
6. No-Show / Early Departure / Unused Stay
- Failure to check in on the scheduled arrival date without prior confirmation may be treated as a no-show.
- In case of no-show, the reservation may be cancelled and the booking amount may be partially or fully retained as per the applicable rate plan.
- Early departure, shortened stay, or unused nights may not be eligible for refund.
7. Force Majeure / Exceptional Circumstances
Shri Stays shall not be liable for inability to honor, modify, or refund bookings beyond applicable policy terms due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- natural disasters
- road closures
- wildlife movement restrictions
- government orders
- weather disruptions
- strikes
- transport disruptions
- network/payment outages
- law and order restrictions
- force majeure events
Any relaxation, adjustment, rescheduling, or goodwill support in such cases shall remain solely at the discretion of Shri Stays and/or the respective OTA, if applicable.
8. Right to Refuse / Cancel Reservation
Shri Stays reserves the right to refuse check-in or cancel a reservation, with or without refund as applicable under the booking terms, in cases including but not limited to:
- invalid or unverifiable identity proof
- violation of house rules
- over-occupancy beyond booked limits
- misrepresentation of guest details
- suspicious or unlawful activity
- intoxication or disruptive behavior
- unauthorized visitors
- property misuse or damage risk
- safety or operational concerns
